At the grand 'Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp' event held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, superstar and co-producer Yash shared his excitement about the ambitious film, its talented team, and the vision behind the project.

Yash described "Ramayana" as "India's dream" and said everyone involved has put personal stardom aside to focus on a common goal. According to him, the team is united by a shared commitment to bring the mythological epic to audiences around the world while celebrating India's rich cultural heritage.

The actor, who is also looking forward to the release of "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups", thanked producer Namit Malhotra for having the courage to support a project of such a massive scale and for trusting him with the important role of Ravana. Yash also expressed his gratitude to director Nitesh Tiwari for helping him understand the many layers of the iconic character.

During his speech in Hindi, Yash shared a lighthearted moment by joking that working on a multilingual film had helped him improve his language skills, even though he made a small mistake while speaking.

Responding to earlier criticism over leaked visuals from the film, Yash reassured fans that the VFX seen online were only a work in progress. He said Oscar-winning visual effects studio DNEG is working hard to deliver a realistic and visually stunning final version.

Yash also praised his co-stars for their performances. He said Ranbir Kapoor has completely immersed himself in the role of Lord Ram and created something truly special. Speaking about Sai Pallavi as Sita, he called her a "flawless" actor, saying her expressive eyes bring great emotion to the character. He also appreciated Shobana's graceful performance as Kaikasi, praised Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, and predicted that Ravie Dubey's portrayal of Lakshman would be one of the film's biggest surprises.

The event also confirmed that the global trailer will release on July 24, 2026, while "Ramayana: Part 1" remains on schedule for a worldwide theatrical release during Diwali 2026.
