Peddi will be marked in golden letters in Ram Charan's acting career as it surpasses new milestones day by day. Now, the Telugu sports drama is set to become his first solo ₹300 crore worldwide. It is also set to cross ₹250 crore in gross domestic collection and ₹200 crore in net domestic earnings.
Peddi bagged ₹4.57 crore from 6,417 shows till 9 pm on Day 8, according to Sacnilk. The total net domestic collection amounts to ₹191.82 crore so far while the gross domestic collection was recorded at ₹227.93 crore.
As per the latest figures, the overseas collections of Peddi have crossed ₹50 crore, taking the total worldwide collections to more than ₹275 crore.
The paid preview shows on the eve of its theatre release, Peddi raked in ₹18.5 crore in net domestic earnings. The Ram Charan starrer opened with a massive ₹51 crore net collection in domestic shows. But it halved on Day 2, as the collections dropped to ₹26.9 crore. The weekend saw a natural surge as the movie minted ₹29.1 crore on Saturday and ₹32.15 crore on Sunday.
The week days experienced an obvious decline as Peddi managed to collect less than of its Day 2 earnings on Day 5, raking in ₹12.35 crore. The business dropped to sub-₹10 crore levels on the following days. Peddi earned ₹9.7 crore on Day 6 and ₹7.55 crore on Day 7.
Helmed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s. The story follows Peddi, a young man from a marginalised caste, who takes up wrestling in a fight for dignity, respect, and social recognition for his people.
Shiva Rajkumar plays Gournaidu, Peddi’s mentor and guiding force, while Janhvi Kapoor stars as the female lead. The supporting cast includes Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu, and Boman Irani.
The film is further elevated by music from A.R. Rahman and striking cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, adding to its visual and emotional impact.
