After over a month in theatres, Akshay Kumar's "Bhooth Bangla" is gearing up for its digital streaming premiere after being certified a clean hit. Directed by Priyadarshan, the horror-comedy, which turned out to be Akshay's biggest success in a long time, is set to arrive on Netflix on June 12, as per reports.

Also featuring Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, and Paresh Rawal, the film has earned, as of Day 43, a global cumulative gross of Rs 264 crore. The film has achieved a worldwide gross of 263.98 crore against a reported budget of Rs 120 crore. In India, it netted Rs 177.45 crore and grossed Rs 210.23 crore.

A report from Sacnilk says the film was already a profitable enterprise for the makers before release, earning 105 crore from non-theatrical rights alone. Netflix had reportedly acquired the streaming rights for 60 crore, while Zee Cinema bought the satellite rights for 25 crore, and Zee Music Company bought the music rights for 10 crore.

"Bhooth Bangla" had already managed to collect about Rs 250 crore in lifetime gross when it completed its month-long theatrical run. Currently, it is Akshay Kumar's 8th highest-grossing film of all time in terms of India Net collections, and ranks 9th globally in his filmography, surpassing the lifetime collections of other hits like "OMG 2" and "Kesari".

However, It trails behind his earlier blockbusters like "Sooryavanshi", "Housefull 4, "Good Newwz", "Mission Mangal", and "Housefull 5" in terms of domestic net and worldwide totals.

"Bhooth Bangla" technical team comprises cinematographer Divakar Mani, editor M. S. Aiyappan Nair, and composers Pritam and Ronnie Raphael.
