The official verdict is out! 'Vaazha 2' has emerged as the numero uno winner at the Kerala box office in 24 days, surpassing both 'Thudarum' and 'Lokah' as it grossed around Rs 121 crore (and growing) in its home territory, according to Sacnilk box office figures.
In terms of worldwide gross, it ranks fifth-highest after "Lokah", "Empuraan", "Manjummel Boys", and "Thudarum". Its current global cumulative gross stands at Rs 220 crore (and counting). It needs another 15 crore+ to outperform the Mohanlal-starrer.
By now, the sequel to "Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys" has already achieved several box office milestones. It crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide in just 7 days, aside from being the third and fastest film to gross Rs 100 crore in Kerala alone, achieving this feat in 16 days.
Moreover, it officially entered the Rs 200 crore global club in 17–18 days, becoming the fifth Malayalam film to reach this milestone.
The film managed to pull these off due to its sustained high momentum through its first three weeks, benefiting from strong word-of-mouth, with both youth and family audiences flocking to see the film.
Despite slowing down in terms of weekly collections, it has already turned out to be a massively profitable enterprise for its makers, given the reported Rs 10 crore budget.
The film's daily performance peaked during its first weekend and showed significant jumps on the second weekend.
It opened its first day with a Rs 4.75 crore gross. On its first Sunday, it collected Rs 8.55 crore. After its first-week run, it started with Rs 7.85 crore and achieved a second-week peak on the second Sunday, earning Rs 8.50 crore.
And it's also collecting a significant sum after its Telugu version was released two days ago, on April 24, 2026, a Friday, which also marks its 23rd day of theatrical run in India.
The Telugu version earned approximately Rs 75 lakh net on the first day, and jumped to Rs 95 lakh the following day (Saturday). Early reports pegged the Telugu version’s cumulative net collection at Rs 1.71 crore.
On Day 24 alone, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region contributed Rs 1.00 crore to the overall India gross.
