Box office: 'Dhurandhar 2' ranks fifth in highest fifth-week earnings, eyeing all-time domestic net record of 'Pushpa 2'

The Ranveer Singh espionage blockbuster is also aiming for the worldwide gross record of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" after beating the lifetime gross of "Pushpa 2: The Rule"

"Dhurandhar: The Revenge" collected around Rs 19.50 in its total net earnings for the fifth week. The Ranveer Singh movie has slowed down at the box office after doing considerably well in the fourth week.

The dip is natural, given that it now has to share screens with other new releases such as Akshay Kumar's "Bhooth Bangla". The film was comparatively more of a front-loaded earner, unlike "Dhurandhar", which currently holds the record for highest fifth-week earnings (between Rs 51.25 crore net)

The first "Dhurandhar" is followed by other blockbusters, namely "Chhaava" (approx. Rs 30.05 crore in Week 5), "Stree 2" (Rs 24.65 crore in Week 5) and "Pushpa 2: The Rule" (Hindi version netted Rs 20.50 crore in Week 5).

"Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge" earned Rs 674.17 crore in Week 1, Rs 263.65 crore in Week 2, Rs 110.60 crore in Week 3, Rs 54.70 crore in Week 4, and Rs 19.52 crore in Week 5.

The Aditya Dhar-directed spy epic has had a record-breaking theatrical run since its release on March 19, 2026. It is currently in its sixth week.

In terms of Week 1 earnings, "Dhurandhar 2" has the highest opening week in Indian cinema history, eclipsing the Week 1 earnings of the original film.

By Week 2, it eclipsed the lifetime earnings of the first "Dhurandhar" (in just 11 days).

By Week 3, it became the first Hindi film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark.

By Week 4, it breached the Rs 1,100 crore milestone.

By Week 5, it's almost near "Pushpa 2: The Rule" in terms of the fifth-week collection.

The film succeeded in maintaining strong momentum, with its first-month earnings alone shattering multiple “all-time” records.

Despite its success, early momentum in South Indian markets was hampered by a delay in acquiring censor certificates for regional languages, meaning the proper regional rollout only began on its first Saturday of opening week.

As of Day 37, the film’s total India net stands at approximately Rs 1,123 crore. It is currently chasing the all-time domestic record held by "Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1,234.1 crore) and the worldwide gross record of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" (Rs 1,788 crore).
