Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge" registered its lowest box office numbers on its fifth Monday (Day 33), with a Rs 1.62 crore earning as a result of a 68.8% drop compared to the fifth Sunday's Rs 5.20 crore, Sacnilk data showed.

The drop is mainly attributed to Akshay Kumar's horror-comedy "Bhooth Bangla" taking over the majority of screens.

This brings up the question of whether the spy sequel will be able to beat the lifetime gross of "Baahubali 2" in another week, because "Dhurandhar 2" needs to perform with the same pace (or higher) that it did in its fourth week. With a worldwide gross of Rs 1,758.96 crore, it has already surpasses the lifetime gross of "Pushpa 2: The Rule".

As of now, its India total gross comes up to Rs 1,337.46 crore and India net total, Rs 1117.29 crore.

Comparatively, the first "Dhurandhar", released in the end of 2025, maintained steady earnings around its 33rd day in early January 2026. The film continued to draw crowds in its 5th week, with reports suggesting a Day 33 collection of approximately Rs 4.75 crore to over Rs 5 crore, contributing to a total Indian net collection exceeding Rs 780 crore by that time.

The film saw a strong 5th weekend, holding well despite new releases, becoming one of the top Hindi grossers.

And in terms of the fourth week collection, "Dhurandhar Part 1" holds the record for a Bollywood movie, becoming the first Indian film to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its fourth week, followed by "Dhurandhar 2" and "Pushpa 2" (Hindi version). "Dhurandhar 2" made only nearly half the amount on its fourth week.

However, it must be noted that the sequel benefitted more from front-loaded earnings unlike the original. "Dhurandhar 2" earned Rs 140 crore (including previews) on its first day, whereas the original "Dhurandhar" opened at a modest Rs 28.6 crore.

The sequel saw sharp weekly drops after its initial surge. On Week 1, it earned a total of Rs 674.17 crore, followed by Rs 263.65 crore on Week 2 (approx. 61% drop), Rs 110.60 crore on Week 3 (approx. 57% drop), and Rs 54.70 crore on Week 4 (approx. 50.54% drop).

However, in terms of overall figures, "Dhurandhar 2" is the bigger film, currently ranking as the 3rd highest-grossing Indian film globally.
