Despite his limited screen time, Brigadier Jahangir was one of the film's most memorable and haunting figures. As the wheelchair-bound father of Arjun Rampal's chief antagonist, Major Iqbal, actor Suvinder Pal Vicky imbues his character with a certain measure of menace and loathsome quality, aside from a mysterious background that's better left unspoiled for those who haven't seen the film yet.

However, this can be said, though. Despite our disdain for Iqbal, we also strongly feel his mounting frustration and anger that naturally arise when living with an insulting father like that.

Brig. Jahangir's casting choice isn't a surprise, since Suvinder has been known to play morally grey, complex or extremely chilling negative characters in the past. One must give credit to the Haryana-based actor for not repeating what he did previously. Fans who have been closely following his career will remember him well from his roles in not just three of India's best TV shows in the crime genre, but also for an independent film that remains a favourite of many critics and festivals.

Which shows and films did Suvinder Pal Vicky appear in?

There was, of course, a high-profile gig in the form of “Udta Punjab” (with Alia Bhatt) in 2016. However, it would take him another four years to get more notice. He appeared briefly in a haunting scene in "Paatal Lok" that involves caste-based violence. Suvinder was one of the Punjabi men responsible for the harrowingly traumatic backstory of a character named Tope Singh, revealed in an investigation by Hathiram Chaudhary (Jaideep Ahlawat).

In the same year, however, Suvinder played the lead in director Ivan Ayr's "Meel Patthar" ("Milestone") in which he played a lonely trucker grappling with the loss of a loved one and dealing with the task of teaching a new intern the ropes. Suvinder's remarkable performance stays with us for a long time, and makes one wonder why he isn't given more lead roles in feature-length movies.

Two years later, Suvinder played one of the principal characters in the TV series "CAT". He played Inspector Sehtab Singh, the senior Punjabi cop who shares a complicated dynamic and history with Randeep Hooda's lead character. The following year, Suvinder appeared in the first season of Netflix's acclaimed crime drama "Kohrra", where he shared the screen with Barun Sobti. The actor delivered one of the standout performances of that year, in a role that contributes to the tense, morally complex narrative. As a layered character caught in the interplay of law, crime, and personal dilemmas, Suvinder convincingly showcased his ability to convey intense inner turmoil while managing a sense of level-headedness.

The actor has appeared in several notable Punjabi films and has also been an active member of the regional theatre scene.

Suvinder will be next seen in one of Prime Video's most anticipated shows, "Storm", which is produced by Hrithik Roshan. The thriller series is headlined by Parvathy Thiruvothu, Saba Azad, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, and Rrama Sharma. He is also one of the main cast members in Diljit Dosanjh's "Punjab 95", which is currently stuck in censorship hurdles.
