It's been almost only a week since the release of "Dhurandhar 2" and the 1000-crore mark is a 100% guarantee in the case of this box office juggernaut that's dominating movie halls in not just India but internationally.

It has crossed Rs 800 crore worldwide (around Rs 845 crore) in five days, and passed the Rs 500 crore mark in net gross in India (Rs 519.12 crore). The overseas gross comes up to Rs 225.00 crore.

There was, however, a 43.4% drop in Day 5 collection, compared to Day 4, according to Sacnilk. This is likely due to the end of holidays and everyone getting back to their offices. The trade analysis portal also notes that the film benefitted from the Hindi market, making Rs 100 crore in two consecutive days, despite the A-rating, lengthy runtime (close to four hours), and no release in GCC countries.

The overall data also shows that the Ranveer Singh-fronted spy thriller has been doing well in the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam markets.

The performance once again reinforces the belief that word-of-mouth matters in the long run, not overblown marketing strategies.

At the time of writing this, the U.S. box office figure alone has crossed $ 80+ million (Rs 650+ crore). The worldwide gross so of  "Dhurandhar 2" has by now beat the India net gross of "Dhurandhar" (Rs 840 crore). This means it will also beat the lifetime worldwide gross of "Stree 2" (Rs 857 crore) and "Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1" (Rs 852 crore).

"Dhurandhar 2" has also become the second Indian movie after "Baahubali 2" to cross Rs 800 crore worldwide after five days. However, it has yet to beat the speed at which "Pushpa 2: The Rule", which managed to cross an estimated ₹900 crore worldwide in just five days.
