As Dhurandhar continues its successful run to packed houses, the makers are looking to bring Dhurandhar 2 to the screen as soon as possible. The Ranveer Singh-starrer is on track for an Eid release on March 19, on the same day as the release of Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. A first-look glimpse of the follow-up was attached to the original film as the end credits. The same footage will be re-edited with new footage and presented as a teaser at the screenings of Border 2, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. Border 2 has been slated for theatrical release on January 23.
"The idea is to replug the release date in the minds of cinema-going audiences. Dhurandhar 2 is confirmed for an Eid 2026 release. The teaser will re-establish the date with some newer visuals," quoted a source that spoke to Bollywood Hungama, adding that the target audience of both movies is the same. "Both Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2 are nationalistic films, and the team at Jio Studios wants to capitalize on the wave of patriotic cinema. The new cut of teaser from the end credits of Part 1 will be out digitally too, after a big-screen premiere. For the beginners, it is a big screen exclusive."
The trailer, on the other hand, is expected to come out at the end of February before the release of Dhurandhar 2.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up to shoot Pralay, a zombie thriller helmed by Jai Mehta, who co-directed the widely celebrated true crime series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story with his father, Hansal Mehta.
Pralay is reportedly set to begin filming in April 2026, following the release of Dhurandhar-Part 2. Ranveer is involved as a co-producer under his home banner Maa Kasam Films in association with Hansal Mehta's True Story Films and Sameer Nair's Applause Entertainment (Scam 1992, Criminal Justice, Black Warrant). Kalyani Priyadarshan is on board the project as the female lead.
