Netflix has dropped a new South Korean series that puts a unique spin on the superhero genre. An action-comedy show, Cashero began streaming on the platform from December 26, 2025. It is based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name. As of now, the show is expected to be a limited series with eight episodes, each with a runtime between 45-60 minutes.

What is 'Cashero' about?

The protagonist is Kang Sang-woong, an ordinary civil servant whose superheroic strength is directly proportionate to the amount of money in his pocket. More money, more powers. But what if he starts using his powers? He starts losing money. What a dilemma for a superhero to have! Sounds fresh, right? That's not all. There are other superheroes dealing with strange dilemmas of their own that are tied to some of their habits. Along the way, Kang meets unexpected allies with whom he teams up to take on an evil group hunting superheroes.

Who are the lead cast members of 'Cashero'?

Kang Sang-woo is played by actor Lee Jun-ho, who is known for his appearances in shows like King the Land, The Red Sleeve, and Rain or Shine. The other lead characters include: Kang's girlfriend and "financial manager" Kim Min-sook (played by Kim Hye-jun); a female superhero with telekinetic powers, Bang Eun-mi (played by Kim Hyang-gi), whose powers depend on her calorie intake; Byeon Ho-in (played by Kim Byung-chul), a lawyer whose powers are activated every time he gets drunk.
