In Mollywood, collecting Rs 2-3 crore in a day is considered a strong start for most films on its opening day in Kerala. Meanwhile, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has grossed Rs 2.40 crore on its 19th day, which happens to be its third Monday, indicating the phenomenal trend that the film has been enduring at the box office, both in the state as well as all over the world.
After 19 days, the film's collections at the Kerala Box Office is Rs 90.90 crore, becoming only the second film in Kerala Box Office history to breach the 90-crore mark in the state after Mohanlal's mega blockbuster Thudarum which collected Rs 118.90 crore and is the top grosser at the Kerala Box Office currently. On Monday (September 16), Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra went past the lifetime Kerala collections of 2018 which had grossed Rs 89.10 crore in the state. The bookings for Tuesday are also rock-solid and the trends indicate another strong week ahead for the Kalyani Priyadarshan-Naslen starrer which is set to go past Rs 100 crore within its fourth weekend.
In Rest of India, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has clocked past the magical figure of Rs 50 crore, a landmark only previously breached by Manjummel Boys in Mollywood. Meanwhile, the overseas collections zoomed past the Rs 100 crore mark in the weekend itself. The film's worldwide gross breached Rs 250 crore on its 19th day, making it only the second film to reach this landmark after Mohanlal's Prithviraj directorial Empuraan which holds the record for the top Mollywood grosser worldwide.
