Samantha Ruth Prabhu has joined actresses Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt to praise Kalyani Priyadarshan's Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra, which is India's first female superhero film.
“Watched Lokah and wowwww!! What an experience," posted Samantha, prasing the visuals, sound and action of the Dominic Arun directorial.
"Every frame felt alive and the world built completely pulled me in. But what stayed with me was seeing our first female superhero on screen. @kalyanipriyadarshan. Chandra gave me goosebumps," she said, lauding the entire team thart "created something truly special".
Responding to Samantha, Dulquer Salmaan, whose Wayfarer Films produced Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra, thanked the actress, saying, "Thank you so much Sam! This is gonna make everyone on team Lokah so happy, lots of love."
This comes after Priyanka Chopra hailed Lokah on her Instagram story, saying, "India’s first female superhero is here. Congratulations Dulquer Salmaan and the entire team of Lokah."
She then urged Hindi viewers to watch Lokah, saying, "This story has been already been winning hearts in Malayalam, and now, it’s out in Hindi too. P.S. added it to my watchlist already! Have you?"
Dulquer was quick to reshare the story, "OMG! Thank you! This support means the world to our whole team of Lokah!"
Alia Bhatt was among the first from Bollywood to share her love for the female superhero movie, pointing out that it was a "fresh blend of mythic folklore and mystery!" Expressing her happiness in seeing the love the movie received, she said, "This is a step in cinema that I will always be eager to show my love and support for!"
However, it is not just actresses who are praising the female superhero played by Kalyani, the daughter of director Priyadarshan. "Talent runs in the family... suna thaa, ab dekh liya! Hearing lovely things about the brilliant acting chops of @kalyanipriyan, Priyadarshan sir's daughter. My best wishes to her and the entire team of #Lokah on their Hindi version release. More power," wrote Akshay.
Akshay had previously worked with Priyadarshan in Here Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He will co-star with Saif Ali Khan in Priyadarshan's Haiwaan soon.
