We had reported earlier that Pushpa and Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun and filmmaker Atlee are teaming up for a "magnum opus" backed by Sun Pictures. Deepika Padukone was confirmed to play one of the female leads in the film tentatively titled AA22xA6.

A while back, reports of Rashmika Mandanna being part of the mammoth project were circulating online. The project seems to have added more big names, if the listing found on The Movie Database is anything to go by.

Aside from Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, and Rashmika Mandanna, the website has also mentioned in the film's cast list, Vijay Sethupathi in a cameo appearance, along with Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Kovai Sarala.

Mrunal and Janhvi were the other names earlier rumoured to appear in the film, mentioned alongside Rashmika. However, there has been no official announcement from the makers yet

Atlee's dream project

In a statement made to Variety at the time of the announcement, the Jawan filmmaker shared the project has been his dream project for a while. "This is the film I have always dreamed of making and it's taken years of quiet work to shape the screenplay into something I truly believe in. To now bring it to life with the Icon Star Allu Arjun Sir, under the visionary leadership of Kalanithi Maran Sir at Sun Pictures, is nothing short of a dream-come-true. The film is mass at its core and magical in its storytelling, crafted to move and entertain audiences worldwide."

Cinematographer G.K. Vishnu, who worked with Atlee on Jawan, Mersal and Bigil is said to be cranking the camera this time around too.

The project is looked at with high hopes given Allu Arjun's extraordinary run at the box office recently. Pushpa 2: The Rule, a sequel to director Sukumar's Pushpa: The Rise, has by now amassed around Rs 1800 crore globally.
