Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Navas, who is know for his mimicry and parody songs, has passed away. He was found dead at a hotel in Chottanikkara on Friday night.

How did Kalabhavan Navas die?

Kalabhavan Navas was believed to have suffered a heart attack after reaching his hotel room, according to Manorama Online.

Navas was in Chottanikkara in connection with the shooting of upcoming film, 'Prakambanam', according to the report. He had come back to his hotel room along with other cast and crew. They were going to vacate the room as the shooting was completed.

However, the hotel staff realised that keys to one of the rooms was not returned and the room was still closed. The staff opened the door and found Navas lying motionless.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead by doctors. Police ruled out anything suspicious in the death. The mortal remains will be handed over to the family after the autopsy is completed on Saturday.

Navas entered Malayalam cinema industry through Chaithanyam (1995). His notable movies include Mattupetti Machan, Thillana Thillana, Junior Mandrake, My Dear Karadi and Ishtamanu Nooruvattam.

He began his career as a mimicry artist and later set up a mimicry troupe called Cochin Arts along with his brother Niyas Bakr.
