Hans Zimmer to write music for HBO's 'Euphoria' Season 3, alongside composer Labrinth

Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer ("Inception", "F1: The Movie") has confirmed his involvement in Season 3 of HBO's Euphoria. The composer joins returning composer Labrinth, who had worked on the music for the first two seasons.

In a statement, Zimmer shared: “It’s an honor to join this incredible team of storytellers led by the visionary Sam Levinson. Together, they have crafted such a bold and moving series that has meant so much to audiences. Labrinth’s music has shaped the show’s identity and I’m looking forward to contributing to the ongoing story and helping shape this new season through music.”

Confirmed this collaboration in a separate statement, Labrinth wrote: “Another chapter in the Euphoria universe! So great to join Hans, one of my heroes in film score, and bring some new magic to this new season.”

Zimmer, who is known for some of his stupendous work in blockbusters such as Gladiator, The Dark Knight trilogy, The Lion King, and the two Dune films directed by Denis Villeneuve, is coming off the success of F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The film's original soundtrack, especially the title track "Lose My Mind", has become an instant hit with cinephiles and Zimmer fans. 

Euphoria creator said it's a "true honor" to be working with Zimmer, in his statement, adding that he wrote the third season to the music of Interstellar and True Romance, both composed by Zimmer. "So he’s been ingrained in the creative DNA since the beginning. I’m really proud of the work Labrinth and I have done in previous seasons and am excited for Hans to push us to new heights.”

After multiple delays and speculations around the possibility of a Season 3 happening, HBO, Levinson and the entire Euphoria team commenced production earlier this year with an anticipated 2026 premiere.

The main cast members Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Colman Domingo and Dominic Fike are expected to return, along with new members such as Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert and Anna Van Patten.
