Grab your popcorn as India’s much-loved rural drama series is back with a new season! With the first three seasons of Panchayat being instant hits, fans have been fervently awaited updates on Season 4. Prime Video has finally put an end to the wait, revealing its first official trailer on Wednesday.

While the previous seasons focused on the beauty of Phulera and witnessed an unprecedented violent turn, the new trailer shows familiar faces swept up in election fever. With the Pradhan elections nearing, fans see Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) and Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar) in an intense face-off as both compete for the position. As the last three seasons have reiterated the communal togetherness of Phulera, this season is no exception, as our favourite characters come together to support the candidates.

Capturing the rhythm of the village, the season promises to be a subtle commentary on power and politics. An important scene opens with Manju Devi commenting, “If you want the Panchayat seat, earn it yourself!” and the trailer shifts to strategic moves both sides employ. While Manju Devi engages in a door-to-door campaign with her trusted group, Bhushan, Kranti Devi’s husband, provides free potatoes to villagers.

The already chaotic campaigns take a violent turn as Secretary Abhishek Tripathi gets punched in his face, followed by more fierce fights in the village. The trailer further provides a glimpse into the relationship between Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar) and Rinki (Sanvikaa), with the latter nonchalantly asking Abhishek whether he thinks about his future.

Backed by TVF creation, the series is helmed by Deepak Mishra and penned by Chandan Kumar. Apart from the above-mentioned cast, the series features an exceptional group of actors such as Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy and Durgesh Kumar.

Adding to the excitement of the trailer launch, the makers also revealed that the release has been pushed up. Panchayat, which was originally slated for a release on July 2, will now be available on Amazon Prime Video on June 24.
