Sydney Sweeney-starrer 'Echo Valley' saw a limited theatrical release in the US earlier this month, giving fans a glimpse of a tense mother-daughter tale. Streaming platform Apple TV+ announced last week that the Michael Pearce directorial will be available for viewing from June 13 onwards.
Apple TV shows and films can be streamed in India via Amazon Prime Video.
The announcement was made on the streaming platform's Instagram page, with a short clip conveying the sinister mood of the series, and the caption: “They're in over their heads.”
This tense familial drama sees Oscar-winner Julianne Moore as Kate, whose troubled daughter (played by Sydney Sweeney) one day ends up at her doorstep frightened and covered in someone else's blood.
With famed filmmaker Ridley Scott as one of its producers, the film features some wonderful supporting cast members, such as 'Twin Peaks' fame Kyle MacLachlan, and Fiona Shaw, who played Petunia Dursley in the 'Harry Potter' films.
Both the lead characters have no shortage of experience with emotional thrillers, with Sweeney garnering recognition and Emmy nominations for her roles in HBO's 'Euphoria' and 'White Lotus'. Moore, on the other hand, has won an Oscar for her central role in 'Still Alice', as well as a number of nominations.
Written by 'Mare of Easttown' fame Brad Ingelsby, the film has so far received mixed reactions, with critics praising its performances, but pointing out that the central characters lacked depth, and that the narrative was unevenly paced—unlike 'Mare of Easttown', which was also a slow-burn thriller, but utilised tension effectively with a well-paced plot.
The 27-year-old will next be seen in 'The Housemaid', which releases this December, and is an adaptation of a psychological thriller novel. Julianne Moore will next be seen opposite 'James MacAvoy in action thriller 'Control' and in Jesse Eisenberg's untitled musical comedy, both of which are currently being filmed, according to reports from Deadline and Variety.
