Amid the raging controversy over his obscene remarks during 'India's Got Latent' row, Ranveer Allahbadia on Saturday alleged that he had been getting death threats.

In an Instagram post, Allahbadia said that he is cooperating with the police and all other agencies.

"I will follow due process and be available to all agencies...I'm watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family," he said in the post.

He also said that his mother's clinic was invaded by people posing as patients. "I'm feeling scared...But I'm not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India," Allahbadia added.

Massive controversy erupted after Allahbadia's parents and sex remarks in 'India's Got Latent' show. Two FIRs have been registered against Allahbadia and Samay Raina, who runs the show.

After uproar erupted over the remarks, all episodes of the show were removed by Raina.

Mumbai Police had earlier said that they were unable to contact Allahbadia as his phone was switched off. The officials also said that his flat was locked when they had gone to record the statement.

However, in the latest post Allahbadia, popularly known as 'BeerBiceps' said that he was cooperating with the police.

Once again he apologised for his remarks. "My remark about parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my moral responsibility to do better and I am genuinely sorry," he said in the post.

Cases were filed against judges of the show including Raina and  Apoorva Mukhija for using "vulgar and obscene" language on the show. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned the judges and producers of the show.

"It violates the dignity and respect owed to every individual, particularly in a society that upholds equality and mutual respect," said NCW  in a statement.

Even Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis reacting to the controversy said that everyone has freedom of speech but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom.
