The controversy over influencer Ranveer Allahbadia's obscene comment on the YouTube show 'India's Got Latent' continues to rage after Akhila Bharat Hindu Mahasabha announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone "who cuts his tongue".
Akhila Bharat Hindu Mahasabha national spokesperson Sishir Chaturvedi said Ranveer's comments were 'anti-sanatan' and against Sanatan Dharma. "We offer Rs one lakh for anyone who cuts Ranveer's filthy tongue," Chaturvedi said, adding that Ranveer's comments caused widespread outrage.
I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry. pic.twitter.com/BaLEx5J0kd

Besides Chaturvedi, Mahant Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham too hit out against the influencer. Shastri said what Ranveer and Samay Raina said was reprehensible. Strict action should be taken against them. These people should be taught how to talk. Rather than issuing an apology, they need to reform mentally," Shastri was quoted by local media reports.
Several FIRs have been registered against Ranveer and Samay Raina across the states, including Maharashtra. Besides the duo, influencers Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija are also facing backlash.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has denied an urgent hearing in the petition filed by Allahbadia against the FIRs lodged against him. I have assigned the bench and it will come up (before a bench) in two-three days, the CJI said.
This comes as the Assam police issued a summons to Ranveer to join the probe in the case filed against him in Guwahati. An Assam police team is in Pune in connection with the case filed by a resident there for alleged promotion of obscenity in a publicly accessible online show.
Earlier, Allahabadia was asked to remain present at Mumbai's Khar police station by the Mumbai police. The YouTuber is also facing a police complaint in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
