Actor Huma Qureshi, on Monday, announced that she has started shooting for her next film, Gulabi. The actor, who is set to come back in season two of Maharani, posted a picture and wrote, “Gulabi is here !!! Filming Now …” in the movie directed by Vipul Mehta, she plays an auto driver. She was last seen in Tarla, a biopic of Tarla Dalal, a known author of cook-books and host of cooking shows.
The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios and Vishal Rana of Echelon Productions.
Rana said "Gulabi" went on floors in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, today.
"We are thrilled to start shooting for Gulabi in Ahmedabad today. Through this film, our aim is to deliver a great content-driven film for the audience they can resonate with. Huma, who has delivered some great performances in her career, once again is all set to create some magic on screen!" the producer said in a statement, PTI reported.
The movie is based on a true story. Vipul Mehta's last project was the Nana Patekar starrer Marathi film, Ole Aale. Mehta wrote and directed the film.
