'Aadujeevitham' crosses Rs 100 crore; will it join Manjummel Boys to enter Rs 200 crore club?

Aadujeevitham aka The Goat Life, Blessy's masterpiece Malayalam movie, has entered the Rs 100-crore club at the worldwide box office within nine days of its release. With this, the survival adventure has become the fastest-grossing Malayalam film. 

The revelation was made by the lead actor, Prithviraj Sukumaran, who posted on social media, "100 Cr and counting at the Global Box Office! Thank you for this unprecedented success!"

The movie has been screened across 1,720 theatres worldwide, breaking several records in the Malayalam film industry. It is now the Malayalam movie with the highest lifetime collections in the GCC region despite being banned in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman. The GCC record was broken from the film's collection in the UAE alone.

The Blessy directorial is the third Rs 100 crore Malayalam movie in 2024, the others being Manjummel Boys and PremaluManjummel Boys has collected Rs 220 crore worldwide.

The 100-crore record by Aadujeevitham surpasses 2018, which reached the milestone in 11 days, Lucifer and Manjummel Boys, which entered the club in 12 days. Other Rs 100 crore Malayalam films include Premalu (31 days) and Pulimurugan (36 days).

Aadujeevitham also holds the record of the fastest Malayalam film to mint Rs 50 crore. Now we will have to wait and watch if the movie crosses Rs 200 crore like Manjummel Boys.
