Vikram's 'Dhruva Natchathiram' won't release in theatres today, director Gautham Menon issues apology

The film has been delayed multiple times

Tamil film Dhruva Natchathiram, set to hit the big screens on Friday, has been postponed, the makers announced early morning. The Vikram-starrer directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon has faced multiple delays over the past few years.

In a statement issued on Friday, Gautham Vasudev apologised for the not being able to release the film. “We tried our best. But looks like we need a day or two more. Hoping to give everybody a good experience with advance bookings and proper screens everywhere around the world,” he said.

According to reports, the film which has been in the making since 2016 has been caught up in financial problems.

On Thursday, the director received a court order instructing Gautham to return an amount of Rs 2 crore to All in Pictures by Friday morning.

The spy action thriller also features Ritu Varma, Parthiban, Simran, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Vinayakan among others.
