Malayalam television and film actor Renjusha Menon was found dead at her apartment in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. She died by suicide-- she was found hanging. Menon was living with her husband Manoj, who is also an actor.
She is known for notable roles in series like Sthree, Nizhalattam, Magalude Amma and Balamani. She has also done movies like Athbhutha Dweepu, Lisammayude Veedu and Karyasthan.
Reportedly, the actor was facing financial problems. Menon, who was also an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, is survived by her parents. She also worked as a line producer in serials.
In August this year, another Malayalam actor, Aparna Nair, died of suicide. Her family, in September, alleged that she committed suicide due to her husband. Her family alleged that her husband's excessive drinking and the mental torture she was subjected to by him led to the actor taking her life. The actor was known for her roles in series like Chandanamazha and Atmasakhi.
