Amitabh Bachchan's Khakee to get a sequel

Aryeman said he would ask Rajkumar Santoshi to direct the film

Khakee, a 2004 movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai is getting a sequel. The project is currently in the scripting stage. The sequel was confirmed by Aryeman, son of late producer Keshu Ramsay.

“Yes, we are planning a sequel to Khakee. The scripting is on and we have a basic plot in mind. We plan to go on floors with the film by next year as it will also mark 20 years of the original film which is still remembered and watched by the fans and audiences,” Aryeman said, Bollywood Hungama reported. 

He said the movie's storyline will have a continuation from part one. But, the movie won't feature Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar or Ajay Devgn as their characters die in the first film. The movie directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, also featured Tusshar Kapoor. Khakee was remade in Telugu in 2009, as Satyameva Jeyate.

Aryeman also indicated that he would ask Rajkumar Santoshi to direct the film. The film was a hit at the box office.
