Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq accuses Karan Johar of copying his song 'Nach Punjaban'

Pakistani singer Abrar Ul Haq has accused producer-filmmaker Karan Johar of stealing his song 'Nach Punjaban' in the latter's upcoming production Jugjugg Jeeyo. Threatening legal action, Abrar said he has not 'sold his song' to anyone.

He tweeted: “I have not sold my song “Nach Punjaban” to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all. @DharmaMovies @karanjohar.”

The film, directed by Raj Mehta, is backed by Johar's Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor returns to the big screen with the comedy drama. Jugjugg Jeeyo also stars Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Kiara Advani.The film also marks the big screen debut of social media influencer-actor Prajakta Kohli.

The movie is scheduled to be released on June 24.
