'Mirzapur' actor Brahma Mishra found dead at his Mumbai home

Police have ruled out foul play

Actor Brahma Mishra, popular for his role as Lalit in the Amazon Prime series Mirzapur, was found dead in his rented home in Mumbai’s Versova. He was 36.

According to an Indian Express report, the police have ruled out foul play and said the actor died due to a heart attack. The body was found partially decomposed, suggesting that the death may have occurred a few days ago.

The actor was reportedly living alone at his home. The body was found in the toilet and there were no injury marks on him.

The body has been sent for autopsy to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.

An India Today report said the actor had visited a doctor on Monday complaining of chest pain. The doctor gave him some medication and sent him home.

"Brahma Mishra, our Lalit. thank you for making us laugh, thank you for making us cry. thank you for always reminding us the loyalty & love a frienship holds always in our heart," a tweet from Amazon Prime read.

Mishra is also known for his roles in Kesari (2019) and Haseen Dillruba (2021).
