The 73rd edition of the Emmys, celebrating the best in television and streaming platforms, will be held in Los Angeles on September 19 (Sunday) with limited number of people attending the event. The award ceremony will have only 500 people in attendance.
Last year, the award was held virtually owing to the pandemic.
Viewers from India can watch the event on September 20 (Monday) at 5.30 am IST. The 73rd edition of the event, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, can be watched on Lionsgate Play. This will be the first stint of Cedric the Entertainer, star of hit CBS comedy series The Neighborhood, as the master of ceremonies for the event.
Netflix drama The Crown and Disney+ show The Mandalorian are the frontrunners with as many as 24 nominations, followed by WandaVision (23) and The Handmaid's Tale (21).
