The Bombay High Court, on Monday, refused to quash the FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh, based on a complaint registered by actress Rhea Chakraborty. "There is prima facie case found against Priyanka Singh and there should not be any impediment against investigation against her", a bench comprising Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik observed, the Live Law tweeted.

Meanwhile, the court quashed the FIR against Sushant’s other sister Meetu Singh.

In September last year, Rhea filed a police complaint against Priyanka Singh, and others over "bogus medical prescription" for psychotropic substances for the late actor.

In her complaint to the Mumbai Police, Rhea, who is facing multiple probes over the death of Rajput, alleged that Rajput died “within five days after obtaining this unlawful prescription," according to media reports. She also named Dr. Tarun Kumar of Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in her complaint, for offences of forgery, NDPS Act and Tele Medicine Practice Guidelines 2020. Rhea said in her complaint that she told the late actor not to take these medicines as he is already under medication. "I say that the Deceased and I disagreed on this aspect and he insisted that he would only take the medicine his sister was prescribing him," the complaint read.

She alleged that the medicine prescribed by Dr. Kumar falls under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and these were prescribed “without any consultation”.
