A special NDPS court in Mumbai granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty in the drugs case, on Wednesday. Showik was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) nearly three months ago.

Rhea, who was also arrested by the NCB, was released on bail in October.

Showik and actor Sushant Singh Rajput's house manager Samuel Miranda were arrested on September 4 after being questioned by the NCB, which is probing allegations of drug abuse surrounding Rajput's death in June. In October, Showik was denied bail by the Bombay High Court when his sister was given bail.

The NCB has been probing the alleged use of drugs in some quarters of Bollywood after the death of Rajput in June this year on the basis of WhatsApp chats involving drugs.

A Mumbai court on Thursday granted bail to Kshitij Ravi Prasad, a former Dharmatic Entertainment executive producer, and a suspected drug peddler arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with its probe into the alleged use of drugs in Bollywood.
