A few weeks ago tweeple had claimed that the tattoo Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy spots on his left hand is the image of Kollywood superstar Vijay. The tattoo bears semblance to the actor's image in the movie Thalaiva.

Although it hasn't been confirmed that if the tweeple is indeed right, one thing is certain, the cricketer, who is part of India's T20I squad for three-match series against Australia, is a hardcore Vijay fan.

On Tuesday, the cricketer took to social media to share a photo of him with the actor. Ulla vandha powera-di, Anna yaaru?… THALAPATHY.. #vaathicoming #vaathiraid #master #ThalapathyVijay," he captioned the picture. 'Vaathi Raid' is the song from the actor's upcoming movie, Master, sung by Arivu and Anirudh Ravichander.

The photo has Chakravarthy fist bumping the actor. Fans of Vijay were quick to make the connection. In the trailer of Master, there is a scene of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi bumping fists, and many on social media claimed that this is a callback of the scene.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master is an action drama, also starring Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, and Nassar in the lead roles.

According to media reports, Chakravarthy started his career as a wicketkeeper but later turned into a medium-pacer. He then briefly quit the game to become an architect. He has also done a cameo in a Tamil movie, Jeeva, released in 2014. In the movie, Chakaravarthy appears as a teammate of the hero, Jeeva while playing for a cricket club.
