After the pandemic wrecked plans of an official Friends reunion special, actor Mathew Perry said that the cast will get back together for the shoot in March next year.
“Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!” Perry tweeted.
The special was supposed to launch the HBO Max streaming service in May 2020, but plans to film it have been repeatedly delayed by the pandemic that shut down production in Hollywood in mid-March.

Perry will be joined in the special by original co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer.
The reunion of the cast of the hugely popular NBC series that concluded its 10th season in 2004, was long sought by fans. According to reports, the cast will return to the original Friends soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank.
Ben Winston will direct the special and executive produce alongside Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane. Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Mathew Perry, and David Schwimmer are also executive producing the special.
