A day after actor Payal Ghosh accused Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, another actor, Rupa Dutta, too claimed that the director sent her sexually suggestive messages on Facebook messenger.

Taking to social media, Dutta, who according to her Twitter bio, is also the West Bengal state president of Karni Sena, wrote that the director has no regard for any woman. Sharing the screenshots in which 'Anurag' says he is attracted to married woman, she wrote that she used to chat with the director in 2014 when he used to have his Facebook user name as 'Anurag Safar'. She claimed that she stopped chatting with him after he began sending suggestive messages.

"That is why Piyel Ghosh's accusation is absolutely right. Anurag Kashyap should be punished," she said, and claimed that he also consumes drugs.

Later, in an interview to News Nation, the actor claimed that the director not only uses drugs, but also supplies the same to others, and urged Narcotics Control Bureau to look into the matter.

However, an alt news report, revealed that 'Anurag Safar' is not director Anurag Kashyap, and the former has clarified this on a few times in the past. In 2010, a tweet from 'Anurag Safar' read: "Pl Excuse me friends!!! I am not film director or producer Anurag Kashyap. I am another Anurag. Please do not bug me considering him."

Anurag Safar has been mistaken for the director on several occasions, reportedly because he used to keep his last name as 'Kashyap' before he changed it to 'Safar'. He used to have the 'Kashyap' tag to his name on his Twitter account as well before 2010.

The director too has clarified to alt news that his Facebook username was username ‘anuragkashyap1972’.

The alt news findings have questioned the credibility of the claims of the actor.
