Canadian show Schitt’s Creek made history at Sunday’s Emmy Awards with a comedy awards sweep—taking home awards in all seven major comedy categories. The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony took on a different format this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The award ceremony, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, saw the winners accepting their awards virtually. Producers monitored over 100 live feeds from about 20 cities, including Los Angeles, New York, London, Tel Aviv and Berlin, according to a report by AP.

In the Drama Series category, HBO’s Succession won four out of the seven awards.

Zendaya, 24, also created history by becoming the youngest lead drama actress winner. She won the award for her performance in Euphoria. After receiving the award, Zendaya said, “I know this seems like a really weird time to be celebrating. But I just want to say there is hope in the young people out there. I know our TV show doesn’t always feel like a great example of that.”
