Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K.K. Singh has filed a counter affidavit in the Supreme Court against Rhea Chakraborty’s plea to transfer the probe to Mumbai.

According to ANI, Singh’s counter affidavit states that the investigation in the FIR has already been transferred to CBI and thus Rhea's plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stands infructuous.

The SC had asked the states of Maharashtra and Bihar, and Sushant’s father to file replies on Rhea’s plea to transfer the FIR lodged against her in connection with Sushant’s death, from Patna to Mumbai. Rhea had sought transfer of the FIR lodged by Patna Police, based on Sushant’s father’s complaint, which alleged her of abetment to suicide. The FIR has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 306 (abetment of suicide), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

The SC is set to hear the pleas on August 11.

Meanwhile, the CBI has registered FIR against Rhea, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi in connection with the actor’s death.
