Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya test negative for COVID-19, discharged from hospital

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya who were being treated for COVID-19 at Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital, have been discharged.

Abhishek Bachchan took to Twitter to share the news that his wife and daughter have tested negative. He tweeted, “Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever. Aishwarya and Aaradhya have thankfully tested negative and have been discharged from the hospital. They will now be at home. My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff.”

Aishwarya and Aaradhya Bachchan were admitted to Nanavati Hospital on July 17.

Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan are still undergoing treatment at Nanavati. Amitabh Bachchan announced on July 11 that he had tested positive for the virus and was in hospital. Soon after, Abhishek also announced that he had tested positive as well and was also in the same hospital. Jaya Bachchan had tested negative for the virus.

Earlier this week, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to dismiss rumours of him testing negative for the coronavirus. The 77-year-old actor has been connecting with his fans through his Twitter account and blog and sharing thoughts on the pandemic as he remains hospitalised. Hospital sources had confirmed that his condition was stable.
