Lijo Jose Pellissery is set to start work on his next project Disco, which will be mostly shot in Las Vegas. After his critically-acclaimed Jallikattu, Lijo recently completed the shoot of Chuzhali, featuring Joju George, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod, Vinay Forrt, and Dileesh Pothan.

According to reports, Lijo had envisioned Disco eight years ago with Indrajith Sukumaran in a pivotal role. The film, however, was delayed due to multiple reasons. Indrajith has already collaborated with Lijo in multiple projects, including the director's debut Nayakan and his first box-office hit Amen. Disco will also see Lijo team up with Chemban Vinod again. Actor Mukesh will also team up for the first time with Lijo in this film.

Writer S. Hareesh who collaborated with Lijo for Jallikattu, will be penning the script for Disco too. Lijo, who is known for perfectly blending elements of local culture and socio-political issues into his previous films, will now go international with Disco. The film, which is expected to feature foreign actors also, is set in the backdrop of 'Burning Man', a cultural event held annually in Nevada, United States.

What's Burning Man?

Burning Man is an annual, nine-day cultural gathering in the middle of the Nevada desert. It is held in Black Rock City—a temporary metropolis that is set up with tents and vehicles of participants. The event, which has attained the status of a global cultural movement is a coming-together of thousands of people—dressed in wild costumes—along with art installations, music and partying.

The participants move around on foot or on their bicycles, socialising with others, cooking, creating art and partying. While it is is often looked at as a 'hippie' event, many celebs including Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg have also dropped in, according to reports. Every year, the festival brings up on a theme on which the art is based.

The highlight of the event is the closing ceremony which involves the burning of large wooden effigy of the 'Man' and Temple Galaxia, another large and extremely intricate wooden installation.
