A few days ago, singer Ranu Mondal had hit headlines and became the subject of online trolling after a photo of her in make-up had gone viral.
According to media reports, the singer was present at the inauguration of beauty parlour in Uttar Pradesh, and her photos after the make-up session made it to the social media. In the photos, Ranu was seen with layers of foundation on her face to lighten her skin tone.
Many people shared memes and trolled Ranu for the outrageous make-up, comparing her to ‘The Nun’ from the 'Conjuring’ franchise.

Now, a make-up artist has come forward with the claim that the photo of the singer that had gone viral is in fact a fake one. Sharing the original photo and the fake one on her Instagram handle, 'sandhyasmakeover', the make-up artist wrote, “As you can see, this is the difference between the work that we have done and the 'Fake' picture that has been edited to an extent.”
The artist further wrote that while trolls and jokes are fine, these should not hurt the sentiments of people.
“All the jokes and trolls are fine and they make us laugh too but to hurt someone sentiments, that's not a very good thing to do.
We truly hope that you all will understand the truth and realise the difference between the fake one and the one that is genuine. That's all we ask for.”
