Uri: The Surgical Strike actor Vicky Kaushal spent some quality time with Army personnel recently. Sharing pictures with soldiers, he said he spent a few days with soldiers of the Indian Army posted at 14,000ft altitude at the Indo-China border of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. In yet another photo, we see the actor making 'rotis' for the jawans. He was there to shoot for an episode of NDTV's Jai Jawan.

Vicky Kaushal has been lauded for his roles as Army man in recent times. His film Uri: The Surgical Strike, based on the 2016 Indian Army's surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan, was a huge hit. "I truly hope 'Uri...' keeps motivating each and every Indian for generations to join hands in serving our nation to the best of their ability," director Aditya Dhar had said recently. "... We are flooded with so many messages, calls and e-mails from young Indians who were inspired by the film and decided to joined our armed forces.

Vicky also won hearts with his portrayal of a Pakistani army officer in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi, starring Alia Bhatt last year. He had said that the film breaks the "quintessential mould" of a Pakistani army officer.
