'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' may have been the highlight of the Game Awards 2025 on Friday with nine awards (including 'Game of the Year'), but some announcements of upcoming games, DLCs, and adaptations were just as important.
Here are seven announcements made at the event that you need to know about:
Street Fighter
The first-look teaser for the highly anticipated live-action Street Fighter film dropped during the event, giving fans an exciting glimpse at characters like Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li made real. This comes after the release of the 1994 classic headlined by the Muscles from Brussels, Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
This major game, seen as a big return to the Star Wars games franchise's RPG roots, will be helmed by developer and 'Mass Effect' fame Casey Hudson.
This upcoming title is also said to be the spiritual successor to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, that fans that have waited at least two decades for.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
The trailer for everyone's favourite LEGO Batman's next film was shown at the event amid heavy cheering. Apart from offering a better look at the supervillains this time round, you also get to drive the Batmobile and Batpod this time round.
TT Games' ambitious open-world game set in Gotham now has a release date too: May 29, 2026.
Two new Tomb Raider games
The first of the two games is Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a new adventure taking place after a "mythical cataclysm" across North India, and the second is an Unreal Engine remake of the 1996 game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
Coven of the Chicken Foot
This debut offering from indie studio Wildflower Interactive left fans pleasantly surprised at the Game Awards 2025.
This beautiful fantasy puzzle platformer sees you play Gertie, an elderly witch, and her lumbering giant of a companion.
Here's the cherry on top if you're still not sure what the hype is all about: Wildflower Interactive's chief is Bruce Straley, an ex-Naughty Dog developer who has worked on the Uncharted and Last of Us franchises.
Resident Evil: Requiem
Capcom officially confirmed that series favourite Leon S. Kennedy will return to its survival horror franchise with Resident Evil: Requiem, set to release on February 27, 2026.
Kennedy will also now be a playable character in parallel (like in GTA 5) alongside FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft.
New Divinity game
The grotesque trailer for the latest instalment of the Divinity series games from 'Baldur's Gate 3' maker Larian Games shocked and puzzled fans on Friday.
Fan theories were quick to show up on Reddit too, as everyone was left with questions—especially who the man burnt alive is.
