'Mission Mangal' celebrates power of ISRO's women scientists

The teaser of upcoming Bollywood film Mission Mangal, which released on Tuesday, opens with Akshay Kumar's voice announcing the countdown to the launch. What we see next are snippets from the lives of five women who are part of the mission—Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nitya Menen, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari. Mission Mangal tells the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, and the story very much belongs to ISRO's women scientists who received global attention, after the mission's success.

Akshay Kumar shared another picture from the sets of the film, and the picture has been grabbing eyeballs. Akshay, who plays scientist Rakesh Dhawan in the film, shared the photo and wrote: "Be it making a home or launching a successful space mission, women know it all! Celebrating the power of women scientists: Mission Mangal is their story!"

Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Nitya Menen, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari also shared the same picture of their social media profiles. Vidya captioned the picture: "Jab jab koi bolega ki ladkiyaan scientist nahi ho sakti, tab tab #MissionMangal ki misaal di jaayegi.
