Different? Well ... yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes, he said

The final episode of Game of Thrones hasn't made many viewers happy. There was even a petition, demanding that the HBO remake the eight and final season of the show.

Now, those that have read the books and are waiting for the author, George R.R. Martin, to reveal the fate of those vying for the Iron Throne, have a reason to cheer. The author has suggested the ending in the books could be very different from what was made for TV.

The show-runners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, had to come up with their own climax and seasons that led up to the same after Martin stalled writing the books. A broad outline of the plot was given to them by the author.

For years, fans have been waiting for the next book 'The Winds of Winter', and the author said he is writing it. “I'm writing. Winter is coming, I told you, long ago... and so it is. THE WINDS OF WINTER is very late, I know, I know, but it will be done," he wrote in a blog. After the 'The Winds of Winter', the final book ' A Dream of Spring' will conclude the epic tale.

"I won't say when, I've tried that before, only to burn you all and jinx myself ... but I will finish it, and then will come A DREAM OF SPRING," he said.

"How will it all end? I hear people asking. The same ending as the show? Different? Well ... yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes." Martin said. He added that while the makers of the series had only a few hours to wrap up, he has "3,000 manuscript pages" to conclude the tale.

"Book or show, which will be the 'real' ending? It's a silly question. How many children did Scarlett O'Hara have?...How about this? I'll write it. You read it. Then everyone can make up their own mind, and argue about it on the internet,” he wrote.
