Celebrities are a constant victim to body-shaming. No matter how talented the actors are or however fit and fine they appear to be, someone on the internet will invariably find a way to put them down by saying the meanest things imaginable.

Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor recently revealed that she was a victim of online body-shaming. In a recent chat show with Arbaaz khan, she said she finds body-shaming very mean as it can make a person very insecure about her/himself. “Till I was like a certain age, I was called giraffe because I was too thin,” she said. The actor added that people go through so many mental health issues due to body-shaming.

Speaking about the issue of nepotism, Sonam Kapoor said she is merely taking advantage of the hard work that her father, Anil Kapoor, has put in. If I do not do that, it will be a disrespect to his work, she said.

Sonam Kapoor said she does not remember a time that her films didn't do well or people did not appreciate her work. Further, the actor said every person should be a feminist as the meaning of the word feminist, according to her, is someone who believes in equal opportunities. “I believe in equality, and therefore I believe in feminism,” she added.
