Mollywood movie goers are excited. They waited for this day for long and finally the 'L-day' is here. The tickets have been booked, and the excitement has reached a feverish pitch as it is only a few hours to go for Lucifer to unleash himself on Mollywood movie goers and every fanboy of beloved Lalattan.

Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj and starring Mohanlal in the lead, has been in the news for quite some time, thanks to some fine promotion tactics by the makers. The director has been putting out character posters of the movie regularly in the past few days. And the final character poster took many by surprise as Prithviraj revealed that he will play a major character in the movie. However, despite the promotional blitzkrieg, the makers of the movie managed to ensure that the plot details have not been revealed, except the fact that the movie is a political thriller.

While the movie may have managed to create much frenzy, the makers are acutely aware of the expectations they have created and would certainly want positive reviews for Lucifer at least from the audience. The movie marks the directorial debut of Prithviraj, who has been one of the most bankable stars of Mollywood in the recent times. For Mohanlal too the movie is of great importance, as his last film, Odiyan, failed to live up to the expectations. There is also the added expectation because of the line of stars the movie boasts of, including Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas and Indrajith Sukumaran apart from Mohanlal and Prithviraj.

Tickets for Lucifer were available from a week ago and there are shows in various theatres as early as 7am. The pre-bookings received great response and the theatres were filled within a matter of hours.

The movie managed to have the initial pull. It remains to be seen if Lucifer impresses the movie goers and critics alike and garner some great reviews.
