After All India Cine Workers Association called for a "total ban" on Pakistani artists working in Indian film industry, Bollywood star Salman Khan moved against Pakistani singer Atif Aslam.
According to media reports, Salman Khan asked his production house, Salman Khan Films, to get Aslam replaced in the upcoming movie Notebook. According to Pinkvilla, the re-recording of the song will be done in a few days.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Notebook, a love story set in Kashmir, will have Salman's childhood friend's son Zaheer Iqbal in the lead. The movie also marks the debut of Pratunan, daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of yesteryear actor Nutan.
The move by Salman Khan to replace the Pakistani comes in the wake of the a terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Kashmir's Pulwama that claimed the lives of at least 40 soldiers.
Following the terror strike, many of the Bollywood actors, including Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and others, took to social media to condemn the attack. Kangana Ranaut had cancelled the success party of her movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi to express solidarity with the victims of the attack.
