Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha took to Twitter to announce Dabangg 3 on Monday, eight years after the first film hit the screens.
Salman Khan posted a picture of himself with Sonakshi Sinha in the first film. Captioning the image he wrote: “Aaj 8 saal Ho Gaye Dabangg Ko... thank u for all the appreciation and love from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey...see u in #Dabangg3 next year”

Sonakshi Sinha also took to Twitter to announce the film. Sonakshi who debuted with Dabangg thanked Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and director Abhinav Kashyap for making her realise her calling.

According to reports, Prabhudeva will be directing the third installment. Dabangg 1 and 2 were directed by Kashyap and Arbaaz respectively. Dabangg 2 released in 2012 while the first film released in 2010.
