Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma landed in hot water a day before the release of his movie featuring God, Sex and Truth featuring adult star Mia Malkova. On Thursday, the filmmaker was booked on the basis of a complaint by a Hyderabad activist.
According to reports, a case against him was filed under Section 63 of the IT Act. Women's groups across Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam had held protests against the filmmaker saying that the movie objectified women.

Varma had earlier said that shooting God, Sex and Truth with American porn star Mia Malkova in Europe was an "elevating and thought provoking experience".
"Indian filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma shot a video with me in Europe titled 'God, Sex and Truth'. I will be the second adult star after Sunny Leone to be shot by an Indian feature film maker," Malkova had tweeted.
"Thank you for shooting 'God, Sex and Truth' with me. It's been an exhilarating experience to see myself through your vision," she wrote, posting a photo of herself nude in front of Varma.
