Besides, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will participate in the Air Show with the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and LCA Tejas.
"Tejas has come here and participated before. The interest shown was tremendous. We are expecting that the display this year also will cater to great expectations, not only for the local population but also for the visitors, to at least showcase the capabilities of the aircraft. Just as we are buying almost 200 of these platforms, I am sure it will generate great interest here," Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari has been quoted as saying.
Sanjay Seth, Minister of State (MoS) for Defence, is leading the Indian delegation. Senior officers from the Department of Defence, Department of Defence Production, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Armed Forces are part of this delegation.
A bilateral meeting between Seth and his UAE counterpart is scheduled to be held on the sidelines of the event. According to a defence ministry release, Seth will also chair an industry round table with about 50 companies from India, the UAE, Australia, the US, Brazil, the UK, and Italy. The round table aims to enhance cooperation in defence technology and manufacturing in India.
