A few weeks ago,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first public address in Rajasthan after Operation Sindoor, had claimed that the airbase in Pakistan was destroyed in Indian strikes.

"No one knows when Pakistan's Rahim Yar Khan air base will open again. It is in ICU. The attack has destroyed it," PM Modi had then said.

After the launch of Operation Sindoor, Indian Army Colonel Sophiya Qureshi and Indian Air Force Wing Commander Vyomika Singh had said India had carried out precision strikes on Rafiq, Murid, Chaklala and Rahim Yar Khan airbases in Pakistan.
