Dileep's latest release Bha Bha Ba is recording shocking numbers on its fifth day at the Kerala box office. The film had already recorded a disappointed extended weekend if you factor in the start it got on the opening day. Bha Bha Ba had opened to Rs 7.20 crore on Day 1 in Kerala, making it only the second Malayalam film to touch Rs 7 crore on the opening day in 2025.
This massive opening, however, was largely due to the presence of Mohanlal who continues to dominate the box office. The veteran had a sensational 2025 with three blockbusters and two re-release successes which show that the craze for him is at an all-time high at the moment. Dileep cashed in on that factor by placing Mohanlal in a cameo role for this mass masala entertainer.
Bha Bha Ba would still have become Dileep's biggest opener, considering that his previous highest first day in Kerala was only Rs 2.10 crore. However, this kind of start was possible only due to the presence of Mohanlal in a mass avatar. The word-of-mouth for the film was mixed from the early shows and trends on the first day itself suggested that cracks had opened up.

Bha Bha Ba had a huge fall on Day 2, dropping by more than 50 percent and the third day showed further drop in collections. Sunday reported a greater figure than Saturday but not by much. Overall, the opening four-day weekend came to Rs 17.50 crore, which was extremely disappointing for a film of this scale.
On its fifth day, Bha Bha Ba is struggling to collect Rs 1 crore at the Kerala box office. Tracked figures till 5 pm show Rs 65 lakh and for reference, Saturday at this point was Rs 2.16 crore and Sunday reported Rs 2.27 crore. Vacation season is on with Christmas and New Year to follow but this trend shows ominous signs for Bha Bha Ba.
