Joy Alukkas, chairman of Joyalukkas Group, has become the wealthiest Malayali, according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list.

His assets are now valued at $6.7 billion (around ₹59,000 crore), placing him at the 563rd position on the list.

M.A. Yusuff Ali, chairman of Lulu Group, holds the second position with $5.4 billion (₹47,500 crore), ranking 743rd overall.
